An Exceptional Educational Value

Northern Virginia Community College offers its students an exceptional education at one of the lowest tuition rates of any college or university in the Washington, D.C., area.

Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 Tuition Rates

The total cost of enrollment is based on a charge per credit hour. Tuition is the same for credit and audit courses. The tuition and fee rates are effective for the Fall 2024 semester. Tuition is subject to change by action of the State Board of Community Colleges. Fees are payable with tuition and are charged on a per-credit-hour basis.

The Auxiliary Services Fee supports NOVA surface lot lighting, emergency response safety equipment, lot repair, and paving. It does not include the cost of a parking permit or visitor parking.

NOVA All Access is a new course material delivery model starting in Fall 2024. This per credit fee covers all required textbooks (physical and digital). Students may opt-out of this fee before the semester starts. More information is available here. It does not apply to contracted Dual Enrollment students.
