NOVA's academic advisors can assist you in getting started at NOVA, choosing a program of study, reviewing course selection, exploring transfer and career opportunities, and more. Ready to enroll? Virtual Advising Sessions

Advising 100 (ADV 100) virtual advising sessions are designed to assist you in enrolling for your first semester and scheduling classes. Pathway Advisors will introduce you to vital resources at the college and clarify the academic requirements and course sequences related to your program of study.

Students will not be assigned to an individual Advisor; instead, you will be grouped with a complete team that corresponds to your Academic Pathway. We encourage you to attend an ADV 100 session to connect with members of your Advising Team.

The ADV 100 sessions will take place from April 1 to August 8, 2025. New students with 0-15 credit hours will receive EAB Navigate emails with important information about ADV 100 registration. Be sure to check Navigate frequently for the latest updates on ADV 100 virtual session offerings tailored to your Academic Pathway.

ADV 101 sessions are intended to assist students in charting their academic journey, comprehending their program requirements, and learning how to effectively utilize the Navigate academic planner.

The ADV 200 virtual advising sessions are a review of your academic advisement. You will learn to recognize your graduation requirements and identify additional credentials you might be eligible to earn on the way. The sessions will also provide you with a checklist of completion requirements and address your questions about graduation.
