Student Emergency Grants
The purpose of student emergency grants is to help students who have unforeseen emergencies during the semester. Grants are available based on funding. Please see the list of currently available grants.
Available Grants
- Childcare Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Grant: This grant assists student parents by helping with before and after-school services. For more information, contact ccampis@nvcc.edu.
- Hot Meals Grant: Affordable access to food and hot, nutritious meals helps students focus, get better grades, and maintain good physical and mental health. Awarded students will receive funds on their NOVACard, which can be used to purchase food at campus dining locations. Please complete the application for the Hot Meals Grant for NOVA Students.
Nighthawk Nest Food Pantry
NOVA's Food and Personal Care Pantry's mission is to provide students, faculty, and staff easy, on-campus access to free food and personal care products. You'll learn more about available resources and pantry locations by visiting the Nighthawk Nest Pantry site.

Free Tax Filing
NOVA is an approved Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, and we provide tax filing opportunities during the spring semesters. Students, faculty, and staff who fit the income guidelines can file their taxes at no cost.
Annual tax filing opportunities for the 2024 tax season are now underway until April 15. To register and obtain the link to begin the free tax filing process, please email financialstability@nvcc.edu.

NOVA offers support to pregnant and parenting students, providing accommodations like excused absences, extensions on assignments, access to lactation rooms and the CCAMPIS program for childcare and resources.
