Admission to NOVA for Online Students

At NOVA, we have an open-door admission policy. Individuals who have a high school diploma or the equivalent, or are at least 18 years of age and are able to benefit academically from enrollment as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics can apply to the college.

High school students may be eligible to enroll also for certain dual enrollment courses. Transfer and persons with military benefits are welcome to apply and enroll.

As a new student, we recommend you start your journey by completing our on-demand virtual orientation. Discover essential Student Services information, including how to get started with your courses, navigate the Canvas course site, access tips for success, and utilize student support services. Take a guided tour of a sample Canvas course to familiarize yourself with course navigation and features.

Students may register through the Student Information System. The Student Services Center at each campus can also assist with registration.
