About the Associate Campus Registrar Services

The Associate Campus Registrar Services's Office is at each NOVA Campus to assist students, faculty, and staff in maintaining accurate and timely processing of transactions related to student record integrity.

In addition, the staff observes and applies academic policies, procedures, and administrative functions to ensure student enrollment services comply with institutional, accreditation, and other regulatory standards and requirements.

Application for VA In-State Tuition Rates

A student's eligibility for in-state tuition at all colleges in the Virginia Community College System, including NOVA. Read more on In-State Residency or learn about in-state tuition.

Change Name or Social Security Number

For a student record name change or social security number change, legal documentation and the original SSN card must be provided. See Form 125-026.

Domicile Appeals

Your domicile is used to determine your tuition rate. Appeal your out-of-state classification. Please allow 10 business days for review. Go to our Appeals page.

Enrollment Verification

Provides confirmation of your academic enrollment status. Submit the Enrollment Verification Request Form 125-094. (Takes 5-10 days to process) enrollmentservices@nvcc.edu.

Loan Deferment Request

Students can submit the Lender Deferment Form to any associate campus registrar's office. Submit the verification form 125-094 with your lender form.

Senior Citizens

The State of Virginia permits senior citizens to take classes for free under the Senior Citizens Higher Education Act of 1974.

Academic Renewal Petition

Students returning after five years (15 terms) or more without taking NOVA courses for credit may petition for academic renewal. See form 125-039.

Enrollment Request Form

Use form 125-406 to submit documentation to the Associate Campus Registrar's Office to address service indicators that prevent registration, out-of-state domicile, and other admission-related services.
