Northern Virginia Community College
(NVCC) is
a two-year comprehensive community college offering college-transfer
and occupational-technical programs, and non-credit continuing
education courses. NVCC has six campuses (Alexandria, Annandale,
Loudoun, Manassas, Medical
Education, and Woodbridge) and two centers
(Arlington and Reston) conveniently located throughout Northern
Virginia, and an Extended Learning
Institute (ELI) offering distance
learning courses.
The mission of NVCC is to respond to the educational needs of its
dynamic and diverse constituencies through an array of comprehensive
programs and services
that facilitate learning and workforce development in an environment of open
access and through lifelong educational opportunities.
NVCC is a part of the Virginia
Community College System (VCCS) and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools

to award associate degrees, and certificates in selected occupational areas.
