| EXTENDED LEARNING INSTITUTE (ELI)

ELI, the distance learning unit of NVCC, offers students a way
to take all—or most—of their courses toward an associate
degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management
(including specialization in Public Management), General Studies,
Information
Technology (Microcomputer and Software Development Specializations),
and Liberal Arts (and its International Studies Specialization)
through distance-learning technologies. In addition, ELI
offers
all courses
for Certificates in Bookkeeping, Public Management, Small Business
Management, and Professional Writing for Business, Government
and Industry and Career Studies Certificates in Accounting, Audiovisual
Communications Technology, Business Information Technology, Business
Management Principles, Desktop Publishing, eCommerce, and Microcomputer
Usage. These degrees and certificates are offered by NVCC campus
academic
divisions. Distance Learning students have the option of taking
required courses through ELI and can also apply ELI courses to
other degrees. Prospective degree candidates should contact an
ELI counselor, a campus counselor, or an academic advisor to
plan their program of study.
