Teaches the beginner to read, write, and understand the symbols
of music notation. Introduces both pitch and rhythmic notation symbols.
Combines listening and visual exercises in order to develop performance
skills and proficiency in the language of music. Re-registration
permitted until course objectives are completed. Lecture 3 hours
per week.
