Purpose: The Music Recording Technology curriculum is designed for persons who desire to set up their own studio or seek employment as music recording technicians. Occupational objectives include development for positions as assistants and aides in recording studios, broadcast studios, myriad other recording enterprises, and countless private studios in the recording industry. Training in digital audio is emphasized using industry standard software.
Recommended Preparation: A personal interview with a program faculty member.
1 May choose MTH 152 or higher.
2 Students may substitute the SDV 101 Orientation section related to this program.
3 Students choose CST 110, CST 115, CST 126, CST 227, or CST 229.
4 May choose PSY 120, PSY 126, PSY 200 PSY 201 or PSY 210.
