Twenty of these credits must be taken in MTH courses for transfer to a four-year institution with a major in science.

Electives should be selected with the advice of a counselor or faculty advisor to meet the requirements of the transfer institution.   

Select from the following: CST 100, CST 110, CST 126, or CST 229.

Select any HIS course listed under the social/behavioral science courses in General Education Electives.

 Students will come to this program with different levels of preparation; If Precalculus is needed, begin with  MTH 167 (or MTH 161 andMTH 162). If placed out of Precalculus, begin with MTH 263 and replace the Precalculus credits with one MTH Elective from footnote #7 ANDone General Education Elective.  Please consult with an advisor for the best option.

Choose from General Education Electives. This elective is not needed if selections for all other requirements total 60 credits or more.

See humanities/fine arts courses listed under General Education Electives. Students must choose courses from two of the three areas listed. Credit will not be applied if student takes two courses from the same area.

See social/behavioral science courses listed under General Education Electives. At least one class must be non-HIS course.

Math electives should be selected from MTH 266, MTH 267, MTH 283,  MTH 288, CSC 221 or CSC 222, based on transfer institution requirements. MTH 245 and/or MTH 246 require a course substitution request and should be chosen with transfer in mind. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 261 and MTH 263, or for both MTH 262 and MTH 264. CSC 208 may substitute for MTH 288 with a course substitution request, if required by the transfer institution. Credit cannot be awarded for both MTH 288 and CSC 208.
