Clean Coal, Coen style

Heh! This "clean coal" debunking campaign is directed by the Coen Brothers.

Love it. I'm curious if they're airing either of them on T.V.

The thing that is bothering me about the "no such thing as clean coal" campaign -which I get- is that they don't propose the alternative - conservation! I understand we want to us the most environmentally friendly energy possible, and that these "clean coals" are not as clean as advertised. But without conservation, there is an energy demand that has/wants to be met. Shouldn't we be putting more advertising money towards conservation? Even going back to the old TV ads of "turn the lights off when you leave the room" or "turn the water off when you brush your teeth"... remember those? There are a so many web sites out there on how you can cut down on your energy usage, why not also advertise those on the ThisIsReality web site?

Sorry Callan, that turned into a rant. I need to stop working and go home!

Those were great!

I actually survived the last big recession (1980) by working in a coal fired power plant and yes, my clothes looked just like that, I can still remember the smell of coal dust..makes me wonder what my lungs look like?
