Age of the oceanic crust

The U.S. National Geophysical Data Center has posted a series of updated images of the age of the oceanic crust. They're bee-yoo-tiful, and I recommend you check them out.

Hey, is the oldest oceanic crust in the Mediterranean? I didn't know that!
Not only that (apparently), but look at its age! I've been quoting what I thought was fact for years; that the oldest oceanic crust is a maximum of 200 million years old. This image says otherwise...
Wow - I too have to change some lectures...I was using 180 million.
I need to look into that a little more.
Thanks for the links!
