Just a reminder that I'm curious to know which analogies my fellow geobloggers prefer to communicate various geologic concepts. At 4:30pm today, I'll post mine.
So far, I haven't really thought of much. And I see that this post somehow says it's tomorrow, the 9th, already. For a minute, I wondered what time zone were you posting from? (Well, now it's the 9th in NOVA-land but still the 8th in detachment-land.)
Maybe something will come to me while I'm at work tomorrow.
Yeah.... I somehow screwed it up in terms of THINKING I was programming it to post this morning (but wrote it yesterday), then hitting PUBLISH, and then realizing I had yesterday's date on it, then changing the date and republishing it, but for some reason it still showed up "before it's time." Can't explain it... the blogosphere is a mysterious place.
my blog post concerning geologic time was more of a rant, but Silver Fox pointed out that it really is an analogy. So... I happily join your miniwedge/meme on geologic analogies
