Brilliant, just brilliant! A parody to be sure, but it absolutely captured the cluelessness of TV reporters when they are asked to step out of their normal roles of chasing Britney, Angelina and all the others.
A nice argument for general education breadth requirements in the sciences at all levels of education.
I first saw that on Thursday, perhaps five minutes after coming out of a discussion of a serious paper about tsunamis. The parody - and the timing - couldn't be more perfect!
MJC: I somehow doubt that the Onion was trying to make the particular statement that science education is awful and reporters need to get a clue, but the fact that such things can be read into the clip make it even funnier. I don't think anything's too cynical in the context of what's already parody.

Or am I just being too cynical?
