Lost or Stolen Card
A lost or stolen NOVACard should be reported to a NOVACard Office as soon as possible. Your NOVACard will be deactivated to prevent misuse and your account will be placed on hold until your card is found. This hold will not affect college services such as academic registration. However, since balances on the card are prepaid, the NOVACard should be protected and treated like cash. Any transactions made while the NOVACard is not in the owner’s possession are not refundable by the NOVACard Office.
If your card is later found, you must bring it to a NOVACard Office to have the account reactivated. If the NOVACard is not found, you will be required to pay a $10 fee and a new NOVACard will be reissued to you.
